ASC-Certified Feed from BioMar Now Reaches Oceania

BioMar Australia joins a global growing network including Chile, Ecuador, Costa Rica, the UK, Norway, and Denmark as the latest Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) certified production facility. This achievement demonstrates BioMar’s commitment to supporting sustainable aquaculture throughout Oceania.

BioMar has achieved ASC Feed Certification for its production facility in Wesley Vale, Tasmania. Welsey Vale supplies feed to fish farms across the country and exports Trans-Tasman to New Zealand (NZ).

It’s important for us to supply high-performing, high quality feed for the 11 different species of fish and crustaceans that are farmed in the region”, says David Whyte, Managing Director at BioMar Australia.

The globally recognised ASC Feed Standard establishes rigorous requirements for environmental management, social and labour rights, health and safety, and responsible raw material sourcing. Certification of the Wesley Vale facility reinforces BioMar’s ability to deliver responsible feed solutions across all regions, while helping producers maintain their certification and market access.

BioMar Australia’s ASC certification ensures that producers across the region can meet their ASC requirement without disruption.

We are committed to helping our customers stay ahead of evolving standards while delivering on the quality and nutrition their fish need,” adds David Whyte.
